About Me
Hello,
How is everyone doing today? Hopefully your all doing good.
Many people I am sure are interested to know who exactly is this “Teen Web Developer”. That teen web developer would be me, I am John Mathews, a 15 year old freshmen in high school.I am not the stereotype “geek”, “nerd” or “kid with no life” or anything for that matter. I like to think I am a very original person.
I enjoy Developing, Designing, Programming and Coding websites. I am not a guru by any means what so ever, just a self taught jack of all trades sort of kid. Besides web work I enjoy snowboarding, it’s not just a sport or social activity it’s a way of life to me. Ask anyone who knows me personally and I am sure you’ll hear I am a bit obsessive when it comes to snowboarding. I am also lucky enough to have found an amazing girl friend named Ali, who is also a 15 year old. We have happily been dating for almost 9 months now at the time of me writing this.I have been doing websites for almost 5 years now, while the first three years of that was me just learning basic html and goofing around I really got emotionally attached to it. Not sure if was thrill of finally fixing that one line of code after trying for 5 hours or just the pure laid back style of work. But I fell in love with web development and ever since have wanted to make my living off it.My end goal is to make a good enough income to never have to work a normal desk job, some of you say web development is a desk job but it’s not. I choose when I sit down and work and better yet I choose the style of work I do. So my goal by the end of 2008 is to make $10,000. And by the end of 2010 I want to see my self making at least $40,000 a year. Each month I will be posting all of my websites stats including revenue, traffic and much more.Something I get a lot is the fact I am to young to work in this field. If make just one point with me doing this whole blog, I want it to be that no one is to young to do anything. Never let age hold you back, Weather its you playing up a year or two in baseball or starting and running your own business. If you have the will power and time you can do anything regardless of age.
Since I am no where near a guru of any of the web development trades this will be a fun chance for other entrepreneurs and web developers to watch and learn from the mistakes I make and hopefully help them in their work.
If your interested in getting to know me personally better feel free to add me on msn or myspace.
